Regine Lutz - Archiverröfnung (archive opening) at the Akademie der Künste
Tuesday, 15 November 2011 17:41
Regine Lutz gave her archives to the Akademie der Künste. The beginning of the swiss-born actress' career took place in Zürich. Right from 1949, Brecht was inviting her to the brand new Berliner Ensemble, and Regine Lutz soon became known as Yvette in „Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder“, Gustchen in „Hofmeister“, Eve in „Der zerbrochne Krug“, Victoria in „Pauken und Trompeten“, Virginia in „Galilei“ and Polly in the „Dreigroschenoper“. The most important part of the archive is composed of the letters she wrote to her parents. With her typical Swiss humor she describes the everyday life at the Ensemble, the rehearsals, the representations and the tournees, her search for a flat and her mettings with the legends of the after-war Berlin theater scene.
To celerate the opening of the archive, Klaus Völker will making a speech. Iris Boss will be reading letters which are part of the correspondence between Holger Teschke and Regine Lutz. Will also be showed some pictures and extracts from original representations.
