CIO Berlin presents a new Exhibition : Timeless Beauty - 100 years of fashion photography from Man Ray to Mario Testino...

On Friday - 17th of August 2012 famous CIO Gallery in Berlin started a new exhibition which is portraying the last century of eccentric and provocative fashion photography. This event can't be missed by real photography and fashion lovers.
According to organizers : "The exhibition provides a representative overview of this genre and traces the development of fashion photography – from the classic compositions of the founding fathers such as Edward Steichen and George Hoyningen-Huene to the experimental photography of Erwin Blumenfeld and Irving Penn, from the sexualisation and voyeurism of Helmut Newton and the cool elegance of Peter Lindbergh through to the most recent works by Mario Testino and Tim Walker. It not only presents fashion photographs but also the history of the publishing houses and the establishment of a medium and its transformation".
Among such a big names like mentioned above exhibition includes also works by Cecil Beaton, Man Ray, Diane Arbus, Horst P. Horst, William Klein, Sarah Moon, Albert Watson, Herb Ritts, Bruce Weber, Corinne Day and many others.
The exhibition includes more than 150 prints as well as original magazines that have never been exhibited before.
Exhibition "Timeless Beauty..." is available till 28.10.2012.
As a part of the Exhibition organizers invited all talented photographers to share their works and participate in Timeless Street Fashion Photography Contest. Those who are interested must apply online 3 photo session artworks, deadline till September 3d.
The winner pictures will be shown at C/O Berlin during the exhibition time of “Timeless Beauty". The lucky winners will also get free admission to C/O Berlin and receive an annual ticket for this purpose.

BE OPEN Sound Portal in Trafalgar Square as part of London Design Festival 2012

London Design Festival celebrates 10th anniversary on September this year. As a new assisting event to the festival organizers introduced interesting installation called BE OPEN Sound Portal - a audio project prepared and co-produced by BE OPEN Foundation - the global initiative to foster creativity and innovation which is standing also behind BE OPEN Awards 2012 ( new chance for young designers to win one of the educational grants or cash and join London stage of the Awards, deadline for sending works to 25.08.12).
BE OPEN Sound Portal focuses on the design that you can’t see – that of acoustics and sound – rather than visual spectacle. It will be based in Trafalgar Square hosting daily one of five leading musicians and sound artists (including award winning Norwegian artist Jana Winderen, radical Drum and Bass pioneer Tom Jenkinson from Squarepusher and a Russian artist Ivan Pavlov) each of whom has been specially commissioned to create a unique soundscape. According to organizers: "An alien black, rubberised structure will be home to finely-tuned audio technologies aimed at delivering pure acoustic experiences to visitors in the middle of Trafalgar Square - one of the busiest and aurally chaotic environments in London...".
BE OPEN Sound Portal is designed by world leaders in the area of acoustic engineering - Arup group.

Das Scharf visual communication present : What's zap! International showcase in film & animation.
This is a 3rd edition a one hour film screening on Sage restaurant's Beach, starting 18:00 till sunset, dj's will be spinning summer tunes on the boat's decks warming up for the movie and the rest of the night !
The screening will be followed by a dj set on the beach & Clique IT Koefte in the FIESERE MIESE [ indoors].
